Terms and Conditions
Last updated 27 Sep 2026
These terms and conditions govern the website https://notchmate.site and the NotchMate macOS application. The seller is Bora Can Baltaci, a sole proprietor trading as NotchMate. By buying, downloading, or using NotchMate you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Questions: boracan449@gmail.com. Last updated 25 September 2026.
The product
NotchMate is a native Mac utility that lives in the menu bar and the MacBook notch (a simulated notch is available on displays without one). After payment you receive a personal license and the Mac app. It includes music controls (Spotify and Apple Music), a full-screen Zen mode with synced lyrics and ambience visuals, live status pills, weather, calendar, a Pomodoro timer, a camera mirror, clipboard history, a file shelf, window snap, an optional lid-fold effect, and creature customisation (name, colour, notch frame), in nine languages.
It is sold only at the published prices on the pricing page: a one-time lifetime license or a monthly subscription. Paddle shows the amount in your currency at checkout, including applicable taxes. There is no custom, enterprise, or quoted pricing. The app needs macOS 14 Sonoma or later and runs on Apple Silicon (M1 and newer) and on Intel Macs that support Sonoma.
License
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run NotchMate on Macs you own or control, for personal or internal commercial use. You may not redistribute the app, rent it, resell license keys, circumvent licensing, or reverse-engineer the licensing mechanism except where the law says you may.
A lifetime license covers updates for the current major version. A monthly license stays valid while the subscription is active and paid. Canceling monthly stops future charges; you keep access until the paid period ends.
Payments, taxes, promo codes
Checkout is processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), who is the merchant of record. Prices are shown on this website before you pay; taxes and currency conversion may be applied by Paddle at payment. Promo codes, if you have one, are entered on Paddle’s checkout screen. NotchMate does not store your full card number.
Refunds
Refunds are described in the Refund Policy: 14 days from purchase, processed by Paddle. Where consumer law gives you stronger rights, those rights apply.
Acceptable use
Don’t use NotchMate to break the law, to interfere with other software on a machine that isn’t yours, or to attack the licensing or update systems. macOS permissions (Automation, Calendar, Camera, Accessibility, Screen Recording) are optional and exist only for the matching feature.
Intellectual property
The NotchMate name, mascot, site, and app belong to Bora Can Baltaci. Buying a license does not transfer ownership of the software — you get the right to use it as described here.
The software is provided as-is
macOS, Apple, Spotify, and other apps change. NotchMate is provided “as is”, without a warranty that every integration will work forever, that the app is error-free, or that it will fit a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, Bora Can Baltaci is not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect damages arising from use of the app or the site. If a limitation is not allowed where you live, it applies only as far as that law permits. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that cannot be limited.
The website
https://notchmate.site is provided for information and to sell licenses. Content may change. Links to Paddle or other third parties are their responsibility.
Privacy
How data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The current version lives at https://notchmate.site/terms. Continued use of a license you already bought is not retroactively rewritten in a way that takes away the core rights of that purchase; new purchases follow the terms in force at checkout.
